Modular body harness - Shibari chest harness
May 15, 2022
I recently taught this body harness. I realized although the tie is not difficult, there are a lot of steps. I've chronicled them here as a reminder for my students.
This tie has many different elements. Each element adds onto the previous one. Therefore the harness can be "finished" after any given element and still be usable and attractive. Tie off in the back before adding the next element when you want to be "done".
I may add the hip and leg pieces into this tutorial at a later date.
Thanks to Sutton for helping me by modeling this tie on a moment's notice.
The overall tie:
Element 1: Lower chest band (single column tie)
Adding the neckline:
Adding the diamond (hishi) for the chest:
Adding the additional shoulder straps:
Adding the lower band and hishi:

Sorry for the late replies. Someone spammed all my blogs and buried the comments.
I would use this tie for suspension but I would add a friction to solidify the bands.
I think I used 2 – 30 ft and 1 – 15 ft rope in this tie for this model.
Thanks for the comments
Thank you
I followed this tutorial and it’s very nice
Beautiful and perfectly explained; thank you!
Would you recommend this harness for full or partial suspension?
