My absolute favorite place for all my rope needs
I have been taking private lessons since April 2024, it is now August 2024. I have some experience with tying knots for a hobby but that did not mean that I knew anything about how to di Shibari. deGiotto has a great system in place for starting with a new student and progressing to the point that they can suspend safely. Also, he teaches great things like, flow, tension control, safety, pertinent anatomy, and how to communicate with and take care of your rope model.
I highly recommend deGiotto for serious students.
deGiotto is always available to answer questions even outside of class via text, this is helpful when I get stuck while practicing and need some advice.
I’ve been using deGiotto hemp for years. I find deGiotto rope to consistently be of high quality, and I’ve found the customer service to be excellent. I highly recommend the 6mm deGiotto hemp shibari rope standard kit. It’s ready to use right out of the box. It contains enough rope for most floor work. For suspensions, you would need to purchase more rope or one of the suspension kits which are available on the website.
i recently purchased a 300 foot spool of red hemp that came ready to be cut to size and used. it is absolutely everything I could have hoped for. Both my bottom and myself love the feel of it and the high performance of the rope. We do lots of dynamic ties and we both feel extremely safe with the product. There is no place better to buy shibari rope.
I've gotten rope from all over for years. Nobody...and I mean NOBODY...beats DeGiotto for quality. Soft and wonderful to the touch. Some of the best whipping too. I'm a convert for life!
