I purchased a 300ft spool of 6mm red preconditioned jute in medium lay and am very happy with my purchase! The rope is very consistent and dyed evenly all the way to the center. The ropes feel soft to the touch, but you can feel that they still have enough “tooth” to them to hold frictions nicely. The fact they come preconditioned saves a lot of time and effort and they don’t have that overwhelming chemical smell that jute often has. I’d describe the character of the ropes as lively because It’s very light and almost glides over my models skin. There’s fluidity in tying with them that I had to get used to at first but now that I’ve been using them for a bit I love it as there’s a certain smoothness it contributes to scenes. I recently did a rope scene at a local event and had many people ask about the rope as they were impressed by the quality as well as how it felt in hand. It’s also worth mentioning that they really do mean 300+ feet of rope as my spool was around 320 feet total. If I had to nitpick, a con would be that the the ropes shed a lot which is to be expected with new jute and jute rope in general. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase and I’d recommend deGiotto ropes to anyone from beginners to experienced riggers.
Wow! Thanks for your kind words. We try everyday to live up to the expectations of our wonderful customers. It makes our day when hear what you love and what we can do better.
Really nice for doing ties in hair, wish the ends were whipped though.
We used to whip these tiny ropes but the people doing it threatened to quit because of the eye strain. LOL
Absolutely love it! ❤️ some of the best rope I've ever used. I plan on getting many more colors.
